No review is published unless the assigned reviewer has completed the work.

No Guaranteed Positive Coverage

Authors or publishers may eventually pay for guaranteed review consideration or a guaranteed completed review of an eligible work. Payment will never guarantee a positive conclusion, minimum rating, recommendation, or quotable verdict. Transaction status and editorial score are separate records.

No Author Approval

Authors cannot pre-approve ratings, criticism, review conclusions, final verdicts, or substantive editorial language. They may report factual errors, which editors will examine.

Complimentary Review Copies

Receiving a complimentary copy does not affect editorial judgment. The source of the review copy is recorded and may be disclosed on the review.

Editorial Integrity

Reviews identify substantive weaknesses when the reviewer believes they exist. ReadVerdict does not promise praise, soften conclusions to preserve access, or present promotional copy as criticism.
